Flower care guide
Last updated September 26, 2026

A little care goes a long way. Follow these florist tips and your Velisse flowers will stay beautiful for 7–10 days.
Bouquets
- Unwrap within an hour. Remove the paper and ribbon, keeping the stems tied if you like the shape.
- Trim the stems. Cut 2 cm off each stem at a 45° angle with a sharp knife or scissors.
- Remove low leaves. No leaves should sit below the water line, as they cloud the water.
- Fresh water and flower food. Fill a clean vase two-thirds full with cool water and add the sachet provided.
- Refresh every two days. Change the water and trim the stems again.
Flower boxes
- Your roses sit in hydrated floral foam, so they need no vase.
- Every two days, pour a small glass of water slowly onto the foam, avoiding the petals.
- Do not remove the roses from the box; the foam keeps them drinking.
Where to place them
- Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, air-conditioning vents and heat sources.
- Keep them away from fruit bowls: ripening fruit releases a gas that makes flowers age faster.
- A cooler room at night can add days to their life.
Reviving a drooping rose
Recut the stem under water and let the rose drink in a tall glass of cool water for a few hours. Most roses will lift their heads again.
